It is with great pride and pleasure that The Gas Safety Trust sends you the latest Downstream Incident Data Report (DIDR) for 2010.

This year’s report, which covers from 1 July 2009 up to 30 June 2010, records the official figure of only four deaths from carbon monoxide exposure to natural gas throughout Great Britain, being the lowest since records were started in 1996.

The recording of fifty-six incidents equating to one hundred and fifteen casualties was also recorded which is very similar to 2008/09 figures.

This data has been verified and confirmed by the Health and Safety Executive and this report will be sent to them for recording purposes and will be contained within the Gas Safety Trust website for future reference.

We hope that you find the comprehensive information contained within this report useful and informative and if you would like to drill-down further into the data collection please let us know by emailing: info@gstrust.org.uk
